Six year 12 students spent 3 days of their summer holiday competing in the Physical AI Hackathon. Qualifying from over 1000 applications, they were the only high school team up against university students including PhD candidates. Out of 120 teams, they were one of 12 teams to reach the finals, and won $10'000hkd! Congratulations to Janey, Feifan, Suan, Eugene, Purple and Darren!

After a flood of news articles about big tech sacking all their workers due to AI, they have actually been quietly re-hiring engineers back again. Turns out the AI job cutting may have been about something other than AI.

A research paper by Stockholm University and HKU concludes that AI adoption raises homework scores by 18% and reduces completion time by 30%, but lowers monthly exam scores by 20% within six months. High-stakes entrance-exam scores fall by 18 and 24%. Who could have guessed getting AI to do your homework meant you didn't really learn everything?!
